An Examination of the Representation of Datsueba in Literature and Visual Imagery Together with Rituals and Worship Practices” to be published by Brill.

Congratulations Chihiro!

We thank all those who participated and encourage everyone who is eligible to consider joining next year’s competition, which will have a submission deadline of September 15, 2021.

We also thank the four members of the Selection Committee for their work.

This is the fourth year we have awarded the JAHF First Book Subvention Prize. It is awarded once a year to a book project that will make a substantial contribution to the field of Japanese art history, broadly defined.

Many thanks again to all those who participated and congratulations to Chihiro.
